Where they started.
Enthusiast Auto Works does premium work — PPF on GT-class Porsches, ceramic on Range Rovers, paint correction that other shops send their mistakes to. The web presence said none of that. A template site loading in six-plus seconds, a Google Business Profile with a dozen reviews and default categories, and rankings that put them on page two for every search that mattered.
The shop was surviving on referrals while competitors with worse work and better SEO captured the buyers typing “Porsche paint protection Westchester” into their phones. The owner had been through five SEO vendors. Every one promised the world and shipped a monthly PDF.
What we built.
We rebuilt the site as a performance-first Next.js build: sub-one-second loads, semantic markup, vehicle-and-service landing pages mapped to the exact long-tail searches qualified buyers use — not “car detailing” but “Porsche paint protection Scarsdale.”
In parallel, the GEO program: Google Business Profile rebuilt category by category, service-level granularity, weekly posts, review-velocity management, and citation cleanup across the directory long tail. Every landing page shipped with LocalBusiness and Service schema so the rankings compounded.
Monthly reporting on the three numbers the owner actually cares about: local pack position, phone calls, and booked jobs. No vanity metrics, no 40-page PDFs.
Where it landed.
Within eight months the shop held local pack position one across roughly 40 vehicle-specific search intents in its service radius. Conversion rate on the site went from 15% to 38% — the traffic wasn't just bigger, it was better qualified, because the pages matched the searches.
In the owner's words: the phone actually rings now. The shop's constraint moved from lead flow to bay capacity — which is the right problem to have.
I've had five different "SEO guys" promise the world. Consult Valix was the first to actually get us ranking in the local map pack for New Rochelle. The site doesn't just look better; the phone actually rings now.
